Rome
During the history of the world, there have been numerous nations, over the years, became great empires, the Spanish Empire, the British Empire, the Mongol Empire ... All were great, but to get to that point, had to look back in time. They say that empires need to be innovative to grow, but the nations that ruled the world in a single set, an empire that dominated the world, who pioneered in all its aspects, that today, even if there is, we continue to use their advances and discoveries for almost everything, this was the Roman Empire, arguably the most magnificent of all. Its origins, according to legend, are so humble as the life of Jesus Christ. The origin of Rome comes from two babies who were abandoned by their mother and were suckled by a she-wolf; These children were Romulus and Remus, founders of Rome, who as adults had a series of problems that led to the murder of Remo hands of Romulus. A long time later, Romulus gave the name of Rome in his honor the settlement which was founded by the river Tiber, which made himself absolute monarch. Here begins the Roman monarchy which lasted between 753 and 509 BC by Tarquinius Superbus as last monarch who was overthrown by a palace coup. After his overthrow, came the Roman Republic (509-27 BC). That was a time when Rome began to spread throughout the Mediterranean. He also began to show his power architectural building aqueducts, amphitheatres, theaters, temples, palaces ... But most said the invention of concrete, a material that allowed to build large structures with strength and speed and the ability to build on the water, a material that is still used today. Also founded the Senate of Rome, an institution that is the predecessor of the current parliament. Great personalities emerged and later as Consul General Julius Caesar, the great orator Cicero, the politician Tiberius ... In addition, Rome created a slogan that today most often associated with the rule that the republic SPQR Popvlvsqve Senatvs Romanvs, translated as "The Senate and People of Rome". In 27 BC, created the Principality of Rome directed by Octavio Augusto, who was simply an adaptation of the republic to the new laws. The Principality barely lasted one year, marked the end of the republic and the beginning of the Roman Empire (27a.C. - 395 AD), led by the same Octavian Augustus, the first Emperor or Imperator of Rome. He also was a significant moment for the rule due to the change of government and increased their wealth to the subsequent crisis. The empire had all kinds of rulers, from the beloved Constantine, who introduced Christianity as the official religion of the empire, to tyrants like Caligula and Nero. As expected, the rule was extended yet, but already beginning to be great enemies as the Germans. The death of the Emperor Theodosius, was the end of empire as it was known, since it was divided into two parts: the Western Roman Empire (395-476) and the Eastern Roman Empire, Byzantine Empire named (330-1453) , which did not suffer the same fate as the other. The Western Empire was very depressed by the barbarian invasions, done that weakened the morale of the army and the population. The end came with the assassination of Emperor Romulus Augustulus at the hands of Odoacer, king of Italy later. This was the end of the best empire that has existed, an empire that fostered the power, technological advances and religion.
